Our Company, Vision, Mission, & Goals
Our Story
We started Youthopia because we felt that the schooling which our children were exposed to was only preparing them for jobs that will not exist in the future.
Our Vision
Our vision at Youthopia is to assess, identify, and equip children from across the world with the C21 Skills needed to thrive in the future.
Technology
We are launching a web-based platform that is designed for effectiveness by offering bite-sized learning nuggets which are personalised for each children.
Manu Menon ( CEO & Founder )
Manu brings his extensive experience in education and marketing to the company. A father of two, he is passionate about all things education and all things Liverpool Football Club.
Nathalia Lim ( Co-Founder )
Nat makes sure our platform looks picture-perfect and that it works even better. On top of that, she's our music-loving Swiss Army Knife who makes a mean cup of coffee.
Professor Dr. Ramakrishnan Menon
A true educator at heart, having taught for more than 50 years across 6 different countries, Professor Dr, Rama believes in lifelong learning. He has an eclectic and flexible approach to teaching, and believes that all students can learn, albeit in different ways.
Assoc Prof Ts Dr. Tan Wee Hoe
A gamification and game-based learning consultant from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. He is the vice chairperson of the Game Development Council of Malaysia, the second vice president of the Serious Games Association, an associate editor of the International Journal of Game-Based Learning, and a Sinchew Daily columnist.
Dr. Erni Marlina binti Saari
A consultant of computing thinking for tertiary education from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). After receiving a PhD at the University of Nottingham, UK, she was appointed as the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Design (Digital Games) with Honours in UPSI. Currently she is the pro temp academic trainer for Computing At School Hub in Malaysia.
Dr. Norshahila binti Ibrahim
A PhD in mobile learning from Universiti Teknologi Petronas. She is a proactive consultant for assessing and validating research instruments in creative multimedia. In addition, she is a member of the editorial board in the International Journal of Heritage, Art and Multimedia (IJHAM), the Advances in Science, Technology and Engineering Systems Journal (ASTESJ), and Asian Social Science Journal (ASSJ).
Dr. Noor Hidayah binti Azmi
An expert in modelling child persona for social behaviours in social network sites. She is the Internship Coordinator for Bachelor of Design (Digital Games) with Honours programme, while playing an active role in the Gamification Special Interest Group of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. She is a member of the Advisory Board for Bachelor of Multimedia Technology with Honours programme, Open University Malaysia.
